Last week, Ariana Grande may have dropped the biggest album of February. With the incorporation of soul, R&B, and pop, Ariana leaves Arianators and all listeners with their mouths wide-open. The song that immediately got to me was ghostin'. The song was an absolute masterpiece for me, and the soothing, beautiful falsettos and harmonies at the end had me mesmerized. All in all, it made me want to cry. NASA got me up and bumping to the beat, bringing a more happy and lively mood to the album. The song that most got to my attention, and the public's as well, was, break up with girlfriend, i'm bored. This song definitely expressed a guilty pleasure that may seem messy to people, but it is fun to think about in a song. Overall, Ariana produced the perfect album that hit all aspects of the pop genre spectrum. Even though I slightly enjoyed "Sweetener"'s ballads better, this album serves as a great start to pop in 2019.

AuthorMy name is Angela and my life revolves around music. I realized that a song could tell a million stories, even multiple at the same time. My passion for it continues to grow every single day, and I want to share my personal feelings about modern music and my particular taste in it. Another day another song. Archives
